Boudreux’s ratio of sincere to fake is always a bit fuzzy. Some of his more obvious BS reminds of me of what I heard a guy say about being in a firefight in Vietnam: “They just said we had to put out fire they didn’t say we had to watch where it went.”…We on the outside don’t know how dedicated Koch and Fink are about the day to day keeping track of Russ and Don, I only know they both seem to spend a lot of time with their eyes closed holding down the trigger until the magazine is empty.

  • Comrade, it is tough to run a Ponzi scheme profitably for a long period of time even if you are the government. The proverbial “lock-box” is full of spider webs and dead cockroaches. No, wait, it is just a bunch of IOUs from the federal govt sitting in a file cabinet in Parkersburg, WV. Now that I’ve paid for the retirements of my parents’ generation and grandparents’ generation, where are the young people to pay for mine? They’re all on foodstamps.
