“I wouldn’t have been hired in the first place…”

“Obviously Cato has an institutional viewpoint, and I wouldn’t have been hired in the first place if my views on the topics I write about weren’t pretty reliably libertarian.”

The self-delusion is strong in Julian Sanchez.

I heard George Snuffleupagus say much the same thing, except it was pretty reliably ‘sycophantic’ on This Week with George Snuffleupagus.

Russ Roberts and Don Boudreaux say much the same thing about their sycophancy gigs as well.

Funny how reliably ‘sycophantic’ employees are.
